There is no single account-opening timetable. Eligibility, verification, ownership complexity and the provider’s assessment all affect the process, so confirm the expected steps with the chosen provider.
Separate the stages
There may be a wait for an appointment before assessment begins. Verification, document review, follow-up questions and account activation are then separate steps. Ask the provider what starts its estimated assessment period and whether the application is complete.
What can affect progress?
Corporate ownership can require records from several jurisdictions. The provider may need to understand business activities, source of funds, expected counterparties or the authority of a signatory. Identity verification and certification arrangements can also take time. No one document or local address guarantees approval.
Prepare a consistent application pack and respond accurately to questions. If a document cannot be obtained promptly, explain the position and ask what alternatives the provider accepts. Avoid planning payroll or a contractual payment around an unconfirmed opening date.
We do not publish a universal bank or payment-platform approval range. Ask the chosen provider for an indication based on your actual application; the decision and timing remain with it.
IMSG can assist with company documents within scope and quote for additional coordination. See the application checklist.
