What documents do I need to provide for Hong Kong company incorporation?

When incorporating a company in Hong Kong, you'll need to prepare the following essential documents:

  • Incorporation Form NNC1 for a company limited by shares (or NNC1G for a company not limited by shares)

  • Articles of Association outlining your company's internal regulations

  • Identification Documents for each director, shareholder, and company secretary:

  • For individuals:

    • Passport copy or Hong Kong ID card (for Hong Kong residents)

    • Address proof (e.g., utility bill or bank statement from the last 3 months)

  • For corporate shareholders/directors:

    • Certificate of incorporation

    • Business registration documents

    • A board resolution approving the investment (in some cases)

    • The identity and address proof of the authorized representative

  • Business Registration Application for obtaining your BR number

  • Consent to Act forms signed by all directors and company secretary

The Hong Kong company incorporation timeline is typically efficient:

  • Online submission: Approximately 1 working day if done without complications

  • Paper submission: 5-6 working days for processing
